Charles et ses fils… Charles et Anatole

Suite à ce commentaire d’une lectrice…

Bonjour

DR. CHARLES ADOLPHE BOHEMIER, retired surgeon-in-chief of the Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Hospital, Montreal, died on July 31, 1968. He was 76. Born at St. Norbert, Manitoba, in April 1892, he studied at St. Boniface College (subsequently part of the University of Manitoba) and at the University of Montreal, and graduated in medicine from Laval University in 1918. He set up practice in Montreal and became one of the country’s outstanding surgeons.

A Senior Member of The Canadian Medical Association, Dr. Bohemier was also a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of the Province of Quebec, the Medical Council of Canada, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He  was also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the International College of Surgeons, and a former correspondent of the Surgical Society of Lyons, France, as well as a former president of the Surgical Society of Montreal and a life governor of the Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Hospital. In addition he had been honoured with the George V Jubilee Medal and the William Hales Hingston Medal. He was also a member of the Order of Merit.

Dr. Bohemier is survived by his widow, the former Laurette Patenaude, and a brother, Dr. Anatole Bohemier.
